Have you heard what companies are shelling out for 30 seconds of advertising at this weekends Super Bowl, $3,800,000 for 30 seconds. That's a lot of cash no matter how you slice it but when you look at it from a cost per impression basis it doesn't come close to the cost per impression of promotional merchandise.

On October 1st 2012 Medicare began fining hospitals that have too many patients readmitted within 30 days of being discharged. On average these fines will be about $125,000 per hospital in the first year and can rise to 3% of Medicare payments under the new health care law. All of a sudden reducing readmissions is a top priority.
